Venture into the Old World

     I finally found some time for myself during this busy year, and I was fortunate enough to get wrangled into a trip out to England and Portugal with a couple of my friends. Below are some selections from that trip. I found everything to be so exciting. London is a city that always has something to offer. It has a hurried pace that thrills the eyes and heart with movement and activity. Contrast this to Southern Portugal, where the pace of life slows to a crawl in the best way possible. Musical talents abound this region, where you'll often hear bossa nova taken from Brazil or a pianist playing a rendition of modern pop. While vastly different in pace, the lust for life seems to be just as fervent in both of these diverse regions.

OMAHA FASHION WEEK: VERUS

       Welcome to VERUS Season. Taking inspiration from the Latin word, our designers for this Fall/Winter Season offered the most genuine, authentic insight they could provide into the world of fashion design. Through their creations, we can see the characteristics valued in each showcase, and understand the personality of each designer without them uttering a word, or revealing themselves to us at the end of their collection's walk down the runway. Each night was filled with vastly different formats of fashion, from avant-garde statements on the sacrificial nature of fast fashion and the impermanence of earthly materials, to an expression of the uniqueness each person possesses due to their specific upbringing and the cultures they are raised around. Lower-light Self Portraits

    Inspired by cinematic style shots, I have curated the selection below to display a more simplistic setup for photography. Using store brand lamps, a phone flash, and a tripod, I found it was still possible to create a fun lighting situation that reminds me of a still from a movie. I find myself making photos much cooler in light temp, so with these low light shots I wanted to try and experiment with a warmer hue.
